I spent some time on the phone with Randy who is with Geos Guidry Response Center.  This is the place that receives your 911 transmission from your SPoT unit. 

 

BE SURE TO UPDATE YOUR SPOT INFO EACH TIME YOU GO OUT!!!!  THIS CAN SAVE VALUABLE TIME IN YOUR RESCUE.  more to follow

We headed off to Yellowstone for a Family Reunion.  Hopped on the bike with my wife and headed out about 11:00.  My daughter, son and his family left about 10:00 in the Tahoe.  They’ve got a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old so I could only imagine the 6 hour drive.  My son said they stopped at Craigos in Pocatello and said it was an excellent place for lunch.  To make a long story short.   We stayed at the KOA outside of West Yellowstone.  We went into the park Saturday and saw The Big Water Thing “Old Faithful” according to my grand-daughter.  The weather was perfect and it was great spending time with family.
